I recently got viasat and it won't let me connect to the game. It stops at connecting to server. Has anyone else experienced this or attempted to play via satellite internet? I know it would be tough once I get in, but better than nothing!
I would not have expected your method of internet connection to stop you accessing the game.
Is it possible that your modem is blocking certain types of access?
I am assuming that you are running in Windows XP compatible mode and have the video card patches installed.
I am running the same configuration that worked on the same computer. It gets to waiting for reply and sits there forever. It used to only get to Connected to Server and sit there forever. The latency is 600ms+ one way so I think that could have something to do with it. I could debug it if I really wanted, but I'm going to see if I can get dial-up.
