Just got my first Sorc and was walked through the VoD to get compulsion.
So, a few things I have questions on the matter.

1) when I compulse something, do the Comps get weakened? If so, does a higher compulsion make your comps stronger?
2) do your Comps ever go poof by themselves?
3) can you get your comps to recall with you?
4) I comped two arch lizzies in the harvest area, recalled and then went to U2. I only ever was able two comp a single ling from there on out due to the two lizzies hanging out in the no aggro area of the lizard harvest area. Was there a command I could have done to have fixed this this while in U2?
5) I noticed while penting, I got message about the Gods seeing what you are doing ( not sure what the exact verbiage was) when trying to comp a 3rg garg. I assumed it was a two comp limit so didn't pay much attention, but later found I can comp 3 beings so now I wonder what the message was and what it was about.
6) should comps be used to help kill or just use as cannon fodder and distraction?
7) do all GC commands work ( including /gctome ?)

To my understanding:

1) No and no
2) Yes
3) No
4) Say "Transfer" before recalling
5) Most likely the message saying you can only have 3
6) Whatever helps
7) /gctome does not work, only verbal commands work

Tactics.
If you are going to comp from a group, select the highest rank that you can see as it retains its rank. Then spell it up fast before it dies.
Note if your comp skill is not high enough and it fails then the target will get aggro with you.

Comps last about 30 mins before they despawn (from memory). Make sure you have transferred it before then to transfer the experience it has earned to you. If they die or despawn you do not get the exp.

I used to like power penting with 3 comps from a higher level to back me up. Just make sure to keep them spelled up. The command to see your GCs spells also works for Comps. /spells (from memory).

Note haras can have a GC and 3 comps.
