Hey all,
Been quite a few years since I played and was wondering if I could get a bit of help. I downloaded the client and got it working, already ran through the tutorial. But the framerate is so choppy that I can barely tell what's going on. It all just moves super slowly. Any idea what I should do?
It's good to be back!

Are you running it in windows xp compatibility mode?
Did you run the game with one of the two graphics card fixes?

Yup, running it in XP compatibility mode. Not positive if I'm running the game with one of the two gfx card fixes though. I must have missed that in my research. How can I check?

It depends on which download link you used.
There are 3 on the download page.
Version One for NVidia Graphics Card
Version two for AMD graphics card
Version 3 for the original version without the graphics card dll selected.
There are sub folders, Fix 1 and Fix 2, that have the actual drivers included. These are what is different between the versions.
Choose the version most appropriate for your machine.
Make sure you change the exe file to Windows XP compatibility mode.

It's a bit weird. I have an NVIDIA GEFORCE gfx card but the nvidia link of the game wouldn't run, only the amd one would. I've tried both the fixes in the folder and nothing is helping the framerate.

Are you installing the client in on top of an existing client?
The 3 zip versions have different direct draw dll and link files.
Copies of the different files are kept in the Fix 1 and 2 sub folders.
Try installing the client into a clean folder and then copying your moa files to that folder.
Don't forget to run in compatibility mode.
See if that helps.
