No Graves Option

Post by Ratheart »

Command: /NoGrave (or /pentgrave depending if you want to limit to only Grolm/Gargs in Pents)

Usage:
Command switches true/false to toggle
If true - When you kill an enemy it doesn't spawn its grave. (Or if nothing in NPC inventory, no grave - we dont want the equiped axes/swords)

Why: When penting, graves get in the way from Shift Clicking the Pent.

I don't this this should be difficult to implement.

However, be careful what you ask for...

If you get no graves then you also miss out on:
- soul stones
- special event items (Easter eggs etc.)
- godly or other unique item drops
- scrolls, potions etc.

Yep, happy to give these up.
Would be players option to turn it off (and on when leaving pents)

Alternatively the more coded option would be to compare the items on the spawned NPC to the the NPC template, only spawn a grave if it differs.

Then it would be too easy to farm some of those things. But i still like this idea.

Dont like it.
Dropping graves is causing mobs nearby to go there and loot it.
If you dont drop graves it would be way easier to avoid those mobs since they wont see you.
This would give an unfair advantage to people with alot of stealth.
Dropping graves and having to deal with the mobs that are alerted by it is part of the game imo

from that point of view this is more of a boon for low stealth then high stealth. High stealth is gonna get away any way, but a low stealth character having a grave drop could get them killed.
