RD Error

Far West - NPC Template not in use in data [13] = 3149. nothing major happened except that error dialogue and a merc poofed away

I am struggling to recreate this.

3149 is the Ghost template and it appears to exist.
I can see the ghosts being recreated, naturally and when I touch the crystal.

All the crystals in RD1 are identical so it should not matter which one I choose.
The message you saw implies that the template does not exist.

Very strange.

Thanks for looking, yeah no worries it's not hurting anything. If I see it again, I'll try to see if I can reproduce it.

Fresh eyes see things that are hiding in plain sight.

The test for 3149 was testing if item 3149 was used, instead of item template 3149.

If item 3149 happened to exist then the test passed.
If item 3149 happened to be empty at the time then the error appeared.

Purely down to chance as to whether it was in error or not.

This has been fixed on the test server and will be fixed on the production server when the next update goes live.

Good pick up and reporting.

Glad you found it. Haven't seen it again since I reported it so got lucky.
